Volleyball Gear Guide was started because of a love of Volleyball. The team here has been playing volleyball since the age of 6, and as we get older, we play a little less and start writing a little more.
The goal is to provide you with all the information you need for getting involved in the game (or starting again) whether it be about technique, equipment or anything else. We also like to chat about some other topics that are near and dear to our hearts such as what’s on TV tonight or how much spiders freak us out! And if you ever want an opinion on something besides volleyball, just ask!
We have two goals: firstly to help people learn about our sport so they can enjoy it as much as we do and secondly to provide a little entertainment.
The site started out dedicated only to the ladies of the sport, but has since then evolved to include men’s volleyball as well! We love watching both versions of the game and plan on covering all kinds from now on!
For those interested in Volleyball Gear Guide’s history, here’s a little something about us!
The original founder of Volleyball Gear Guide was Roselyn Britt. A volleyball player since the age of 6, she played in high school and at university while studying Business Economics (we’ve all got to do things we don’t like right?). After graduating in 2009 she coached both junior girls and boys teams. She started Volleyball Gear Guide two years ago after she decided that volleyball was too much fun to not share the information with everyone.
Natalie is currently located in Vancouver, BC – it’s hard to be away from the beach for too long! Although Roselyn doesn’t play as frequently as before (mostly because of her shoulder), she has gotten back into coaching boys junior teams, continues to enjoy the sport by watching professional matches and is currently attending university for her MBA.
She can be reached at Roselyn at volleyballgearguide dot com if you want to share your thoughts, tell her about a hot volley hottie or ask where’s the best place to get Pizza.
